Lafayette Mills PTA Committees

The Lafayette Mills Board thoughtfully decorates the school for various seasonal and holiday events throughout the year, including Back to School, Fall, Winter, and Spring, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment for students  and staff alike. 

Throughout the school year the LMPTA gives each student a book for their birthday.  Once a month the LMPTA distributes books to all the students who have had a birthday within the month.  In September we celebrate August and September and in June we celebrate June and July, as to not miss anyone's big day.  This is a service provided by the LMPTA.

This committee coordinates the set-up and running of the book fair twice a year. This is a great way to help your child develop a love for books and encourages a lifetime of reading enjoyment. This is a fundraiser for the LMPTA.

What's more fun than playing bingo with your friends at school and winning prizes? The committee will be in charge of organizing the setup of the event, as well as prizes and concession. This is a fun filled event for the 4th & 5th graders and will take place right after school.  This is a fundraiser for the LMPTA.

Box Tops are collected electronically throughout the year via the Box Tops App on your mobile device. They are exchanged for cash donations to our school. This is a Fundraiser for LMPTA.

Step right up and enjoy a night filled with games, prizes, inflatable rides, face painting, tattoos, cotton candy, and so much more.  Come with the whole family and enjoy a night out with your Lafayette Mills friends.  Don't forget to visit our pie throwing station, you never know who you will be throwing at.  This is a LMPTA fundraiser.

It's that time of year.  Clean out your closets and get rid of all unwanted clothes, towels, blankets and sheets.  Help our school raise money by cleaning out your closets.

Cookie kits on sale. What a fun activity to do at home with the kids.  Decorate your own sugar cookies.

All kits come with cookie, icing and sprinkles.  This is an LMPTA fundraiser

Throughout the school year there will be various dates at local restaurants, where we have a chance to earn money based on how many people dine there.  Eveyone likes to go out eat, so enjoy a fun night out and support your school at the same time.  This is a LMPTA fundraiser.

The Fifth Grade committee volunteers are dedicated to celebrating and supporting the fifth grade class during their stepping up year. The committee coordinates ad oversees several key events and activites to ensure a memorable and meaningful experience for all students. Responsibilities include decorating for the moving up ceremony in June, planning and executing a fun and safe end of year BBQ event for students, managing the Fifth Grade t-shirt contest, designing moving up signs and assisting with candid and group photos for the Fifth Grade section of the yearbook. 

Celebrate your child's moving up to 6th grade by purchasing them a sign to display on your own lawn to congratulate them.  This is an LMPTA Fundraiser

Throughout the year we offer a variety of grams to purchase for your child at school.  The gram will be delivered to your child along with a note.  Grams can be for Back to School, the holidays, and so much more.  This is a fundraiser for the LMPTA.

Come join us for a spooktacular night of fun.  Come dressed in your favorite costume and dance the night away with your friends.  There will also be various hallowwen related events to participate in along with a variety of concessions sold.  This is fundraiser for the LMPTA.

Students will have the opportunity to shop for their loved ones for the holidays.  This is a fundraiser for LMPTA.

The Hospitality Committee is a dedicated team of volunteers focused on making PTA events warm, welcoming, and well organized. They coordinate refreshments and decorations, in addition to, helping setup, clean up and ensuring events are run smoothly. They also organize special events to recognize teachers and staff, such as luncheons and Staff Appreciation Week. Their efforts help build a sense of community and encourage active participation in school life. 

Our membership committee is very important to our overall success.  It's our members that help make our PTA so great.  By joining LMPTA for just $15 a family, you will have access to our online directory and stores via the LMPTA.org website.  You will receive exclusive emails and reminders for PTA events, as well as our free App.  You will also have the opportunity to Chair or volunteer for an event, and you will have the right to vote on important topics at our membership meetings.  Come join the PTA and help to make your child's experience at school and even brighter one. 

Our plant sale will be held in May just in time for Mother's Day.  In addition to plants, we will also have items for sale for the Dads and Grandpas.  This is a LMPTA fundraiser.

Students will be able to buy tickets to view a school approved movie with their friends.  This is a LMPTA fundraiser.

Students will have the opportunity to shop for various school items as well as fun knickknacks.  This is a fundraiser for LMPTA.

Parents will be able to pre-order snacks for their child.  Most of our snack sale will occur on Fridays and you must place your pre-order online by the Tuesday prior to delivery.  This is a fundraiser for LMPTA.

Every Friday is spirit day at Lafayette Mills School.  Choose from a variety of LM spiritwear to show your school spirit!  This is a LMPTA fundraiser.

Help support LMPTA while promoting your business! Chair person(s) will be responsible for selling sponsorships to LM parents only and will obtain advertising information to be featured.  This is a fundraiser for LMPTA.

This committee coordinates the distribution of food/gifts to thank the teachers and staff at Lafayete Mills School.  Teacher Appreciation week occurs in May, and we plan something special for each day fo the week.  In addition, there are other times throughout the school year that we do special things to show them how much we care and how thankful we are for all that they do.  This is a service provided by the LMPTA.

Children will participate in a walk-a-thon to raise money for our school. This committee coordinates the logistics of the walk-a-thon and volunteers are needed to help during the actual walk. This is a fundraiser provided for the LMPTA.

This committee formats and compiles a yearbook of the entire school. There will be opportunity for you to purchase booster ads that will appear in the yearbook.  Yearbooks are distributed at the end of the year, and are available for purchase for grades 1-4.  All 5th grade students are given a yearbook as a gift fom the LMPTA. This is a service and a fundraiser for LMPTA.

Yearbook photographers play a key role in capturing the spirit of the school year. Their job is to attend events and capture everyday moments around the school for this years yearbook. They help document memorable experiences and ensure that everyone is represented in the yearbook. This role requires good attention to detail. Our photographers help bring the pages of the yearbook to life. 

Here's your chance to be Boo'ed for Halloween, Leprechaun'd for St. Patrick's Day or Egged for the Spring. A fun and exciting way to celebrate these holiday Milestones throughourt the year with your children and their friends.  With each you've been type of gram, we will deliver a bucket of treats to them for you.  This is a LMPTA fundraiser
